So you want a website – what happens next?
- 1. Upon receipt of your enquiry, we will aim to set a time for a personal meeting where this is feasible (clients in the Wellington and Wairarapa regions), or else will communicate by email about your requirements.
- 2. We will then compile a proposal regarding the site structure, layout, design style, and features to be included with your website – or in case there is an existing site, we will propose changes or additions to be made.
- 3. After the site structure (site map), and features have been approved, we will send you a contract, and a 10% downpayment will be due.
- 4. Next, we will work on some design drafts and submit them to your approval, and make any changes that are required. Once the final design is approved, a further 40% of the total fee becomes due.
- 5. Next, we will build the actual web pages, and any PHP/MySQL or Flash based features. This includes optimizing any image or media files to reduce download times, and including appropriate keywords and tags for search enigne optimization. Upon completion of this stage, we will upload the site to our test server, where the site can be extensively tested. The testing phase is important - this will be your chance to require any final changes.
- 6. Once the site has been tested and any problems that might have occurred are fixed, and your final payment has been received, the site is ready to go live on your server!
- 7. We will take care of registering the site with Google directories and the Open Directory Project. The completed site will also be featured in our monthly newsletter and on our web design blog, to drive some initial traffic.
